Is Roberto Luongo on his way to an All-Time Shutout Record?

I don't follow professional sports anymore but a friend of mine, Mark, remarked that Roberto Luongo, goalie of the Vancouver Canucks, has just had 3 shutouts in a row. I checked and he has actually had 5 shutouts in the first 15 games of this season:

A quick check revealed the record for most shutouts in a single season is held by Tony Esposito in the 1969-70 season. So Luongo is in good stead to break this record if the trend continues!
