George Jonas: "Needless to say, the mere fact that something is legal doesn’t make it either right or desirable. If the endorsement of the Conservatives in the 2008 elections was far from unequivocal, the rejection of the Liberals in general, and their leader, Stéphane Dion, in particular, certainly was. Whatever Canadians wanted six weeks ago when they went to the polls, what they clearly did not want was a Liberal prime minister, especially Stéphane Dion.
