Very Cool Vancouver "Video"

My friend, Geoff, just sent me a link to one of the coolest things I've seen in some time. It was created by a fellow named Guy Roland and is called "Spacer". As far as I can tell the "video" was actually built from individual time-lapse shots, albeit with the camera moving. Very, very cool!

Thanks for the nice words. It's all actually individual frames, not time-lapse shots.

Guy,

Thanks for your comment. Were some of the segments made by filming a short video segment and then removing most of the frames?

Hi Robert,

No. It's all digital stills taken in sequence. The 'shot' elements of it are all created by the way the things are photographed.

Then doubly amazing! I hope that everyone watches your amazing video. It truly is a piece of art!!!

Well thanks again. Please share it with your friends. I'm starting to shoot a new one now. Spacer had no budget and no support; this new one, "Citius", has both. THIS one should be truly mind-blowing! Spacer only scratched the surface of what's possible. Do you work at Carter by Granville island? I looked at your photo this morning and then was bike riding today and came across the same angle and view.

Guy,

I actually work for myself out of my home office in South Granville, not too far from where that photo was taken. GI is sort of like my supermarket.

Do you have a website through which I can contact you directly? I'd like to introduce you to two friends of mine in Vancouver in your business:

http://www.rozdigital.com

There very well might be some great synergies for all of you!
