Miami's Freedom Tower - Part 1

This distinctive yellow building is a well known landmark to all the locals, especially those of Cuban heritage. Built in 1925, it was the home to the Miami News & Metropolis newspaper for 30 years. Then it served as the processing center for refugees fleeing Castro's regime in Cuba. In the 1970's it fell into disrepair but more recently has been faithfully restored.
