Film Discovered of John McCain's Release in Hanoi in 1973

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Swedish broadcaster SVT has released a previously unseen film clip purportedly showing the release of presidential candidate John McCain to the U.S. military in Hanoi in 1973.
A former SVT reporter, Erik Eriksson, said Thursday he found the video in the network's archives when he was looking for footage for a book he was writing about his experiences as a war correspondent in Vietnam.

I read that he could have gotten released sooner, but without the other POWs, he refused.

Of course, there are plenty of despicable people (Randi Rhodes being one) who insist that none of this is true and that "it wasn't so bad for McCain" and the other prisoners. Since none of these hatemongers were there, it would be interesting to find out how they could possibly know this.
But it's the same mindset of those who say that 6 Million Jews were not murdered by the Nazis in WW2 and that Japan was ready to surrender when the 2 atomic bombs were dropped on them. Neither of these claims are remotely true but as we all know, hate goes a long way to blinding the minds of IQ challenged individuals.
