Early Afternoon Exploration
I asked my Mom if she wanted to go up to the top of Diamond Head. She enthusiastically agreed. But we had to have lunch. So we ventured on out for a bite to eat. A few blocks away we came across an interesting hole-in-the-wall called "Me Korean BBQ". They had a large variety of offerings to choose from.
The food turned out to be quite delicious and plentiful.
They didn't have a restroom so we went out in search for one. We found one at a small, older hotel. I snapped a few photos at this kitchy place.
Definitely a throw-back to how Honolulu must have looked in the 1960's!
There were more than a few Canadian flags around, including this one.
We waited for bus #23 to Diamond Head for about 45 minutes. While there I snapped a few photos on this less busy end of Kuhio Avenue.
