Ono Hawaiian Foods

One of the restaurants on Andy's list was Ono Hawaiian Foods. There was a small lineup outside - generally a good sign - so we decided to try it.

Honolulu appears to be blessed with many local holes-in-the-wall like this one. The service was prompt, friendly, and informative. Our waiter offered us a sample of poi, a thick grey paste with a rather bland flavour. We both opted for rice instead.
This being our first time, we opted to share the Combination Plate. Its major components consisted of Kalua Pig and Laulau, Pipikaula, Lomi Salmon, and Haupia. Each were very tasted though my favourite was the salmon, which was shredded and tasted a lot like smoked chicken.
