The Train to Portland
After lunch I casually strolled back to Seattle's Union Station. There was already a line-up to convert one's train ticket to a boarding pass. Like with the bus, the train was absolutely packed. I found a seat beside a nice gentleman. His name was Jim Thibodeau. He was a semi-retired industrialist with a fascinating life story. You can read more about him here.
Jim and I talked about a number of things, which made for a very pleasant journey. When we did pull into Portland's Union Station, we were only a few minutes late.
