The Good Shepherd
Just got back from seeing this great film. It had been highly recommended to me by several people. I now understand why. There was no one amazingly memorable scene but the story is well written and the 168 minutes breezes by.
It's the fictionalized story of the birth of the CIA, as it grew out of the American WW2 spy agency called the "OSS". The main character, played by Matt Damon, is apparently an amalgamation of two actual historical figures, James Jesus Angleton and Richard M. Bissell.
The film was championed and directed by Robert De Niro. He did a great job!
