A Question for Vancouver's Mayor, Sam Sullivan

Every government has the ability to increase its available funds in two ways:

  1. Increasing the money coming in.
  2. Decreasing the money going out.
The City of Vancouver has been fortunate to have had dramatically increasing property values in the past few decades. This has brought in a whole lot more tax revenue.

But may I boldly suggest that spending is absolutely out of control. I frequently see your city employees parked down by the waterfront, snoozing in their trucks. The other day, I saw 5 city workers cutting down a few branches on a small tree. I've done such work before and it could clearly be done by just 2. City Hall staff are still working just 4 days per week, correct?

When will the mayor of this city put his (or her) foot down and stop the excessive waste?
