NDP Election Propaganda

I was walking in front of VGH today and came across this "protest" rally. I put the "P" word in quotes because anyone who thinks that this was purely about the cause at hand is kiddin' themselves. This is pure NDP politics, pure & simple. The messages for the cameras was clear: These workers, mostly women, are being taken advantage of "by that horrible Gordon Campbell".

Will people fall it? As tens of thousands of people in the private sector are starting to lose their jobs because of the global recession, will people now start to feel sorry for public sector workers? I wonder.

The Repugnant Tip of the NDP Spear

British Columbia's election campaign seems to have gotten started in the minds of many. And from what I've seen already, some NDP supporters are determined to make it U-G-L-Y.

This morning, Kash Heed was interviewed on CKNW. After 30 years of being involved with policing, he has declared his candidacy for the provincial Liberal party. He's a very well spoken person and had some very interesting things to say.

Sure enough though, the call seems to have gone out to the thugs on the Radical Left. One fellow called up, had nothing particularly important to ask but simply wanted to insert the term "child eater" into the minds of the public. In case you're not aware, this is reference to a YouTube ad published a while back by COPE 378, a public sector union. It was a failed attempt at humour and a good nominee for Stupidest Election Ploy ever.

Yet this same union is not backing down. They're now running a series of other ads on 'NW that refers back to the original YouTube one. These people are so filled with H-A-T-E (I use the term accurately) that nothing will stop them from backing down. They remind me of that strange guy who is an univited friend of a friend at a party. He isn't funny, isn't polite, but simply resembles an obnoxious boor. Eventually he's asked to leave (by Carole James at some point, I'd assume) but then he even turns on her.

I was never in favour of the gag law and cite COPE 378 as a [not so] third party that needs to have their voice heard. Only then will the public understand how incredibly vile one key part of the NDP hierarchy truly is.

I Am Joe!

Whether you're a Republican or a Democrat, an American or from another country, you should be as disgusted as I am at the vile way that the Mainstream Media has treated Joe Wurzelbacher. This has nothing to do with Barack Obama but everything to do with fairness. Please click on the logo below to read more.

Mark Steyn shares his thoughts on Joe the Plumber and why the MSM feels the need to destroy him.

The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

The Good (and The Positive) : Sarah Palin talking in Florida

The Bad and The Ugly: Democrat friendly PR Firm suspected of dirty tricks

The 2nd link provides a detailed analysis that is long but incredibly interesting. It alleges that a public relations firm with direct connections to the Obama campaign may be skirting the laws of the Federal Election Commission by posting absolute lies about Sarah Palin and then not stating who was responsible for the ad.

If a Republican friendly group were suspected of carrying out an illegal campaign, the MSM would be all over the story. Strange that we hear absolutely nothing from them when the shoe's on the other foot!

Here's the phoney YouTube ad, saved by alert bloggers before the original poster knew he had been caught. Keep in mind that everything said in it is an absolute lie:

The Latest Canard from Obama Inc.

When the Obama War Room realized how the campaign had changed because of the Palin Effect, they strategized how to combat it. One tact was to get their endless supporters in the MSM to denigrate Sarah Palin with phony story after phony story in newspapers and TV.

That's bad enough, but now the most disgusting tactic of all is being used. Members of the media and more formal supporters are playing the race card:

I've seen all of this before. It was an extremely successful tactic used by the Liberal Party of Canada for years to paint their opponents, the Conservatives, as anti-immigrant. But in 2006 finally enough Canadians ignored the propaganda and elected the Conservatives. Lo and behold, it was suddenly discovered that all such racist tarring done by the Liberals was a complete lie.

Sadly, fanatical Democrats are seeking to start a race war in America . . . if it'll help them win victory on Nov. 4th. Dennis Prager has some insightful comments about this here & here, and explains that if Obama loses then the only ones who could possibly be racist are Democrats, since Republicans would never vote for an extreme liberal like Obama regardless of his race or sex.

Here's a telling editorial from a Republican named John Doggett. Oh, by the way, he happens to be black.

New Term: Blueneck

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate "whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

Classy Ms. Fowler, really classy. If one didn't know better, they'd think such words came out of the mouth of a redneck. But you'd never accept that moniker so perhaps "blueneck" is more appropos?!? Whichever the case, inspired by Obama's own words: "A pig with lipstick is still a pig, Ms. Fowler!"

Here's one fellow's more stinging take on it.

One thing he said is something I thought about a week or so ago. Can we talk honestly with the politically correct blinders removed? From a male perspective, a lot of these women making the most venomous attacks against Sarah Palin are not exactly the most physically attractive women, are they? Wouldn't stop me from voting for them because looks don't matter whatsoever to me when it comes to a politician. But I wonder what a psychologist would say about this commonality of appearance amongst her most outspoken antagonists?

Might it actually go back to how such women were sidelined in high school, with boys wanting to date more attractive young women?

Another Day, Another Set of Smears

A website called "LA Progressive" (love the "progressive" bit) has slandered Sarah Palin but refuses to back down even though they clearly know they're caught in a lie. Here's the first part of it:
You can read the full thing here. People are now starting to ask questions about who precisely the site's founders, Dick and Sharon Price, are. Here's a little expose on the scoundrels. They even have their own web page on Barack Obama's site. Here's a photo of the lovely couple themselves. One has to wonder how Dick would feel about wife slandering his beautiful wife in the same way?!
There is no word from the Obama campaign as of yet condemning factually inaccurate reporting.

Now here we have an example of what at least one Obama supporter things of mentally challenged children:
Sick. Sick. Sick. But don't forget to refer to such people as "progressives", or else you might offend them.

More Voices on the Smears Against Sarah Palin

Nick Cohen shares his thoughts here.

And Willie Brown does the same here.

Thomas Sowell & Brian Kalt on the Recent Smears

Thomas Sowell is a well regarded conservative author. He shares his views on the recent smears against Sarah Palin:

Brian Kalt is a professor at the Michigan State University College of Law. Here he shares his views on the actual effects of the smears by the Daily Kos Krowd. His opening paragraph just has to be repeated:

Every four years, Democrats in the United States make the same mistake. They underestimate the appeal of the Republican Party to Middle America, and then reduce their own appeal by belittling it. Now, Democrats are falling into the same trap again with Sarah Palin, John McCain’s vice-presidential nominee.
