The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

The Good (and The Positive) : Sarah Palin talking in Florida

The Bad and The Ugly: Democrat friendly PR Firm suspected of dirty tricks

The 2nd link provides a detailed analysis that is long but incredibly interesting. It alleges that a public relations firm with direct connections to the Obama campaign may be skirting the laws of the Federal Election Commission by posting absolute lies about Sarah Palin and then not stating who was responsible for the ad.

If a Republican friendly group were suspected of carrying out an illegal campaign, the MSM would be all over the story. Strange that we hear absolutely nothing from them when the shoe's on the other foot!

Here's the phoney YouTube ad, saved by alert bloggers before the original poster knew he had been caught. Keep in mind that everything said in it is an absolute lie:

Yet Another Sarah Palin Rumour Disproved!

Remember the rumour in the left-wing blogosphere earlier this week that Sarah Palin had an affair with her husband's business partner? Curious as to why you're no longer hearing anything about it? Read this.

At last count, the Sarah Palin False Smear Count is now at 55. Fifty-five false rumours spread about her. Imagine a basketball player standing at the free throw line and missing after 55 times. Do you think he'd still have a job? Yet some of these smears have been reported by actual paid journalists ... or should I say "journalists". Yet they keep working without any questions asked by their employer. Journalism in the Year 2008: Fascinating, absolutely fascinating!

Update#1: It's now later the same day and the Smear Count has increased to 66 (sixty-six).

Update #2: The rumour count is now up to 71. The Keeper of the Count appeared on Fox News today:

CBC News: Liberal Bias at its Absolute Worst

Coincidences are wonderful things! Earlier tonight I was conversing with a Democrat friend of mine about the coverage of the U.S. election on my blog. One of the things I defended was my unending assertion that the mainstream media is generally biased in favour of Obama and in some cases pathetically and obviously so. I related this to Canada, citing CBC News as the worst example of a SIGNIFICANT liberal bias.

Several hours later, I came across this exposé by Jonathan Kay of a hit piece by CBC News and their reporter, Neil McDonald, who apparently has a history of smears, including several against Israel. Do you remember the false rumour about Sarah Palin not being the actual mother of her youngest baby, Trig? Two days after this rumour was put to rest, our old buddy Neil released a story that it might actually be true! The fact that a j-o-u-r-n-a-l-i-s-t would do a story without any credible evidence is bad enough. The fact that he would do it two days late is beyond the pale. Why is Mr. McDonald still employed there?

This kind of crap happens every week at the CBC. Now with the upcoming federal election in Canada, it'll likely happen every day. My remedy: pull the plug on all financing of the CBC for one year and then rehire a staff of balanced professionals who will represent the views of ALL Canadians, not just a tiny minority of ultra-left radicals.

The Sarah Palin Pregnancy Smear

A friend alerted me to this blog story. The insinuation is that the baby Sarah Palin gave birth to in April is not actually her own but instead was that of her daughter, Bristol.

Pretty serious charges and attacking one of Palin's daughters in this way is no small matter. Is it true? I don't know. Was the image photoshopped? I don't know.

If it is true then it's almost certainly the end of John McCain's campaign because it'll bring into question Palin's honesty and character, and therefore McCain's judgment.

But if it's false, I hope that the McCain Campaign comes out next week demanding that Barack Obama unequivocally and loudly denounce such a smear campaign, not only against one of his opponents but against a daughter just like his own. Furthermore, if it is false then I will request that the liberal bloggers I know to do precisely the same, as I would expect them to do of me if the roles were reversed.

Update: I just learned of this photo taken in July 2008:
Who looks more like she recently gave birth, Sarah Palin, or her daughter, Bristol, behind her?

And here's one taken from a speech on February 26, 2008:
