Vintage Steyn, but alas, I doubt many are paying attention. The baritone siren song sung by Obama has them too deeply in thrall.
I love the second piece which describes Michelle as a "diversity apparatchik" and muses about her likelihood of employment at her current salary level in a system of socialized medicine.
The thing is ... up until about mid-February I was actually somewhat supportive of Obama. I liked his message of positive change and thought it would be great to once & for all shut-up the many people around the world who keep saying that the U.S. is the most racist nation on earth (even though clearly it isn't).
But then I started listening to what he and those around him were actually saying. Yikes!
This message of permanent victimhood and "you can get anything you want for nothing" just doesn't resonate with me. I detested it while it was pumped out of Ottawa and Toronto and Victoria and detest it now that it's a core message of Obamanation.
