Vancouver City Employees: Idle Threats

I've truly had enough of this rhetoric that most city workers are going to leave for the private sector if they're not given large pay increases. I distinctly recall hearing nurses and teachers in times past threatening exactly the same thing.

Let's face facts: Most city employees have VERY comfortable jobs with EXTREMELY good benefit packages. These folks have the same Golden Handcuffs' mentality as all other longterm employees. They will never leave. And quite frankly, I'm not at all convinced that most of them are cut out to work in the private sector anyhow!
