Two Early Evening Panoramas

I LOVE photographing and viewing panoramas. Here are two I've taken this past week. Be sure to click on them to see the full-sized versions:

The first shows Coal Harbour and the seaplane base. The second was taken last night at Sunset Beach, about an hour before the fireworks started.

These two photos also provide a vivid contrast of something else. To the human eye, live at the scene, the first photo was just as spectacular as it appears here. But the second scene looked nowhere near as nice as it does in the photo. I've noticed this phenomenon before. It's a reminder that it's often worth it to capture a scene with a digital camera because there's no cost and you may just end up with a great lasting memory!
