Comedic Gem from Mark Steyn

Mark Steyn often uses self-deprecating humour to describe himself as a "demography bore". He's actually one of the wittiest political pundits around today.

While guest hosting Rush Limbaugh's show earlier today, he said (paraphasing):

Sudan is a very strange country. On the one hand many people there use modern technology like cel phones. On the other hand, a while back a rumour spread like wildfire amongst the population that if a Sudanese man shook the hand of a foreigner then within days the man's private parts would shrivel up and fall off.

Now I have a lot of sympathy for these men of Sudan because I pretty much had the same experience when I shook Hillary Clinton's hand.

Dennis Miller's Brilliance!

"If Hillary wants to zing [Bill Clinton], she has plenty of right to. She's been cheated on more frequently than a blind woman playing Scrabble with gypsies."

The Speech Sarah Palin Never Gave

Here's a fascinating article in the liberal Israeli newspaper, Ha'aretz, about the speech that Sarah Palin was to give at an anti-Ahmadinejad rally at the UN in New York. Unfortunately Hillary Clinton and the Democrat party ensured that this speech was never delivered. Sadder than sad.

More important graphics here.

So Sorry Now

This is absolutely hilarious!

Tina Fey (aka Sarah Palin) on SNL

Here's the famous performance that everyone has been eagerly awaiting:

It's quite hilarious! Being an aficionado of regional accents, I thought that Tina Fey's was closer to a Northern Minnesota accent than an Alaska one. John Batchelor has a great take on it as well.

The biggest effect of the ongoing SNL skits through the election will be to continue to mock the hypocritical sexist and elitist media coverage of Palin. Most in the media still haven't realized just how far they've jumped the shark with their pathetically biased coverage. They're slow learners though. Extreme arrogance tends to have the effect of obscuring facts that otherwise would be blatantly obvious.

Now, being a stickler for facts, some of the jokes in the SNL skit are based on half-truths and falsehoods. Just wanted to draw some things to your attention in case you're interested:

If you're a Radical Leftist with PDS (Palin Derangement Syndrome) I realize that facts and alternative views are unimportant to you. But I have good news: In just over 51 days the election will all be over and you can take a break for awhile.

An Outspoken PUMA

If you're not yet familiar with the new PUMA acronym, it stands for "Party Unity My Ass!" There's nothing formally organized but there's an informal movement of Democrat women who are campaigning against Barack Obama because of what happened to Hillary Clinton. The biggest question facing political pollsters right now is just what percentage of female Democrat voters will switch over this time and vote for McCain-Palin.

Here's a good rant from one of the more outspoken PUMA women.

Clintononians for McCain ... and so it begins

I just heard an interesting interview with one Cristi Adkins, a former Hillary Clinton supporter who is now adamantly supporting John McCain. Her and some like minded folks have created a website called Clintons4McCain.com.

She's already been attacked by the Obamanation Brown ShirtsTM
as a Republican spy but dismisses this as pure nonsense. My political intuition tells me that this is the start of a huge wave of support toward McCain-Palin. I'll be watching the polls over the coming weeks to see what actually transpires.

Just Another Typical Liberal

No principles, just show him the money.
I suppose at least he's being honest about his "flexible" principles.

Pinocchios Absentias aka Hillary Clinton

Dennis Miller rants on Hillary Clinton's recent fiasco:
But the funniest of all was just before midway when Miller went on an hilarious rant about Skeletor aka James Carville.

"It's Not Important For Me To Succeed, Only For My Friends To Fail"

Mark Steyn chimes in on the whole Hillary Clinton mess that is her campaign.

It's Now All Over For Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton, the next presumptive President of the United States, at least in her own mind, has been stabbed in the back. The odd thing is, she did it to herself!

She's been caught in a lie - a big one - and it clearly seems to be the straw that broke the camel's back. Journalists are fed up. Colleagues are fed up. Even several of her own supporters are fed up. Peggy Noonan, in a comprehensive new article, explains just how damaged Mrs. Clinton has become.

Her article inspired this video:

Democrats: Who's the Bigger Victim?

On the last day of last year I published My Hopes for Canada in 2008. Everything I said there applied to our American neighbours too. How incredibly sad & pathetic it is what the Democrat Presidential Campaign has devolved into. It's as if the two candidates, Clinton & Obama, were vying to be on these gameshows:

  • Who's the Bigger Victim?
  • Who's the Most Politically Correct?
  • Who is More Hard Done By, a Black Male or a White Female?
Back home in Vancouver I don't own a TV; very much by choice, I assure you. But in Honolulu, where I am now, I've been able to watch as much TV as I want and I often scan CNN and Fox News. It has been a never ending barrage of the very worst discourse between people who are supposed to be adults. If the contestants on Survivor were given ties and pantsuits, I don't think one could distinguish which was which.

Charles Krauthammer has a humorous take on this terrible identity politics.

Hillary Clinton vs. Yoko Ono

I burst out laughing when I read this: "Saying that Hillary has Executive Branch experience is like saying Yoko Ono was a Beatle."

Dick Morris Says That Hillary Has Already Lost

Dick Morris was an adviser to Bill Clinton but now predicts that Hillary has already lost. Something tells me she isn't going to give up so easily. Though if she convinces (read "coerces") the superdelegates to turn the tide of victory her way, look for a major split in the Democrat Party that may change American political allegiances for many decades to come.

Democrats: Step On Down and Name Your Guilt!

In one of his funniest articles yet, Mark Steyn explains how Democrats are stepping over each other to see who amongst them feels the most guilty ... about everything! For it seems that the greatest victim is to be the winner.

In all fairness, I don't think that Barrack Obama has played the guilt game at all but one has to wonder whether guilt is a prime motivator for many of his non-black supporters. On the other hand, Hillary Clinton is bending over backwards to convince people that she (and all women) have been victims throughout much of their lives.

For a long time I thought the Democrat race was like an extended touchy-feely episode of Oprah. Now it looks more like the Jerry Springer show!

Hillary Clinton, A Footnote In History

In his usual humorous way, Mark Steyn chimes in on why Hillary Clinton upcoming loss is inevitable.

You don't like me, you really don't like me!

Peggy Noonan has an interesting take on Hillary Clinton's steady decline here.

Here's a summary of the recent delegate numbers:

How the Politically Correct Get Stung By Their Own Venom

Here's a wonderful article by Washington Post columnist, Charles Krauthammer, on how Bill & Hillary Clinton are now getting burned by their own politically correct, race card playing tricks they've played over the years.

Clinton & Obama Making Peace

Here's an interesting video focusing on what's currently happening on the Democrat side of the American presidential campaign:

It features conservative pundit, Michelle Malkin, who I absolutely adore on so many levels!
