A Perfect Purple Pepper

In my entire life I'd never before seen a purple pepper. But suddenly they're selling them down at one of the Granville Island produce stands. Apparently they're simply another colour within the Bell Pepper family. Taste-wise, I don't know if I could tell the difference between one of these and a more common green pepper.
