Update: It is never my intention to insult thoughtful people. I feel that the original title of this posting was inflammatory and not respectful to those who I do respect, such as fellow blogger, David In North Burnaby. So I have changed it accordingly.

With that said, I have carefully thought about STV for some time now and simply arrived at a different conclusion than David, and indeed, some personal friends of mine.

The Split in the Liberal Party of Canada: Adults vs. Children

Jonathan Kay has written a stunning piece in the National Post about the big divide in the Liberal Party. His use of the terms "adults" and "children" might just seem like mere metaphors but there's actually a lot of truth to their place in his article.

Children come in many forms and we all know many adults who still act like children. Adults are responsible, both morally and fiscally. Children often are not. Adults think through their views and their promises; not just the initial effect, but the longterm effect as well. Children rarely do. Adults have wisdom. Children do not.

As Kay says, the children of the Liberal Party can now move over to the NDP, where they will feel right at home with like-minded irresponsible comrades.

The Radical Elites of Toronto

Jonathan Kay offers up an hilarious column exposing U of T elites as the absolute phony, undemocratic thugs that they truly are. Here's one side-splitting snippet:

White, middle-aged, dour, earnest liberal academics are quite outraged that Canadians may still wish to be governed by the government they voted for and will stop at nothing to use their influence to install the coalition of the rejected and bring down the Harper government.

Here is the group photo of elites involved in the recent debate that Kay describes. They may all seem like innocent bureaucrats but each & every one of them is fully prepared to throw away your democracy & mine faster than you can say "Prime Minister Stephane Dion"!

After reading Kay's piece, one cannot help but reflect upon Charles Adler's recent editorial about those "tenured professors". They're one & the same!

Heather Mallick: Now the Permanent Victim

The CBC's Heather Mallick is out with the latest chapter in the ongoing saga of her vicious, hateful attacks on Sarah Palin. This time though, she's feeling verrrrrrry sorry for herself.

Here's what Jonathan Kay had to say about it.

I am a Canadian living in Vancouver, Ms. Mallick. I also have a university degree. Being an educated urban Canadian, does that mean I have the right to comment on your writing without receiving ad hominem attacks from you?

You, madam, are a vulgar twit with the arrogance the height of an oak tree but the wisdom the size of an acorn. You've clearly spent most of your life with the "Yes" crowd or else were in complete denial about those chastising you ... probably most often for your own good. But you chose to listen to no one.

Now my tax dollars have gone to paying you to write a sob-ridden "I'm The Victim" missive. About the only positive thing this latest piece accomplished was to justify bringing back the violin section of the CBC orchestra. That's what most readers will be hearing in their heads, reading your truly pathetic pity piece.

Canada's Permanent Victim Central

I read with disbelief two connected columns by Jonathan Kay about Canada's Permanent Victim Industry. The first is here and the other is here. It's beyond insane that in 2008 so many Canadians are making so much money promoting victimhood. But it is all about the money, isn't it? For if any of these nincompoops were to wake up one day and realize that they're accomplishing nothing for the members of the choir that they're preaching to then the gravy train would quickly dry up. The fact that they're doing everything to keep it flowing is beyond pathetic.

It just occurred to me that there's a clear cut human rights violation against the entire "human rights" industry. But they'd never listen, would they?

Omar Khadr

Jonathan Kay argues that Omar Khadr aka "Canada's Child Soldier" should be set free from the American military judicial system. After you read Kay's piece, take a look at this photo of the same "child":
Sorry, but I'm just not feeling the love. But then again, I'm fully in favour of the death penalty for the likes of Paul Bernardo and Clifford Robert Olson, so I suppose I'm just an "ultra-conservative" hardliner when it comes to brutal folks who have done only harm to others during their miserable lives.

The Moral Relativism of the Ultra-Liberal

Have you been following the absolute horrible atrocities going on in Zimbabwe? I have. Besides Robert Mugabe ending any hope of democracy, there are countless people being murdered and tortured by the thugs of this tyrant.

To date I thought I had heard some of the most ridiculous statements of defense of Mugabe. One came from Khurrum Awan's mentor, Mohammed Elmasry, when he wrote this editorial in the Montreal Gazette. I've also heard some African callers to BBC London assert that Zimbabwe is the "greatest democracy the world has ever seen". Such callers obviously missed the lesson that if you're going to tell a lie, ensure there's some shred of truth to it.

But now the Globe & Mail's life long ultra leftist, Rick Salutin, wins the gold medal for going where no reasonably sane person has ever dared to go before. Jonathan Kay provides his take on Salutin's diatribe, along with a link to the actual editorial as well. Below Kay's article, be sure to read the sick moral relativist ramblings of one "Ambrose99". Thankfully there are enough thoughtful Canadians out there who won't let such hateful screeds go unanswered.

Sadly though, there are many, many people out there who emulate the twisted logic of Salutin and Ambrose99. Listen carefully to them and you will almost always see that their hatred for America and Israel far outweighs any care or support they have for people in this world who are truly being oppressed. And this is why the UN has become a useless organization and why the atrocities in Zimbabwe, Darfur, Burma, and countless other places is allowed to continue. These people have blood on their hands yet are so mired in their own endless schtick that they've actually convinced themselves that they are on the side of the angels. There is no greater delusion!
