Positive Signs All Around

Great news is all around us! A new poll by COMPAS Inc. Public Opinion and Customer Research reveals some startling, though not unexpected findings:
If you don't immediately grasp the enormity of 51% support for the Conservatives, then look historically at the Top 10 elections ever in terms of the popular vote:

My only hope is that no one takes this strong support for granted! Indeed, the actions of the Coalition have suddenly awoken the Silent Majority. And they're angry, really angry! But the holidays are coming up and then winter sets in. Through it all our corrupt media, lead by CBC News, will be working hand-in-hand with their friends & lovers in the Liberal and NDP parties to unseat the Conservatives. And this past week has showed us all to what extent they'll go and what false rhetoric (remember the 62% nonsense) they're prepared to use in order to unseat the democratically elected Conservatives. If you care about our democracy then I strongly encourage to show up for tomorrow's rallies. It IS imporant!

The "Slut" Factor: Radical Leftists Destroying the Obama Campaign

Barry Warsch is a lifelong Democrat and former Florida Democrat executive committee member. He's also going to be voting for John McCain this time. Here he gives one reason why. Throughout his blog he provides many other reasons.

This poll is an example of why many other Floridians may likely be voting for McCain-Palin too.

Media Bias?

Here's a fascinating poll of Washington State registered voters, asking a variety of questions. Keeping in my that this state very much favours Democrats, the responses to Questions #7 & #8 should be particularly telling to anyone who is still in denial about the MSM being in the tank for Obama:

#7 - So far, has there been too much? Too little? Or just the right amount of media scrutiny of Sarah Palin?

46% Too Much
25% Too Little
24% Just About Right
5% Not Sure

#8 - Is the media rooting for Barack Obama? Rooting for John McCain? Or trying its best to be fair to both?

52% Barack Obama
8% John McCain
35% Being Fair To Both
5% Not Sure

Update: A newly released Rasmussen poll says that "51% of U.S. voters think reporters are trying to hurt Sarah Palin with their news coverage, and 24% say those stories make them more likely to vote for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in November."

Question for Canadians

In order to better fund Canadian athletes for future Olympics, all public employees and politicians making over $75,000 per year will receive a permanent 1% cut in pay. The savings from this will be given directly to Canadian athletes.

Would you support or oppose such a move?

The British Educational System is an Abysmal Failure!

I've previously reported that 91% of British teachers are against helping students develop a better sense of British identity. They cite phrases like "morally ambiguous issues" and "patriotism getting in the way of multi-cultural issues" to defend their views. All of this is ultra left-wing claptrap!

As I've mentioned before, nowadays I spend a lot of time listening to BBC London Radio. It's a superb station, where you hear from a multitude of average Londoners about what is really going on in the UK, not just the fluff their Tourism Department wants you to know about. What's very clear is that there are severe problems there now, much of them centered around misguided youths who know little about their nation's history and who have divided themselves into different groups & even gangs, based on ethnic and religious differences. This is the future that awaits Canada and the U.S. if we continue along the same path.

A new poll has been conducted that provides further proof of the great incompetence of the British school system and the teachers over there. Here are some of the findings:

  • 20% of students believe that Winston Churchill was a fictional character.
  • 58% believe that Sherlock Holmes was a real person, who lived at 221B Baker Street.
  • 47% believe that Eleanor Rigby was a real person rather than a name invented by The Beatles.
  • 51% believe that Robin Hood was a real man who lived in Sherwood Forest.
Without further investigation, no one can place the blame on individual teachers, but there clearly must be an abundance of teachers and undoubtedly their union, who must be given an "F" for failure. If they were in jobs where they could readily be fired, then the "F" would take on an even more important meaning!

I have nothing against the British, nor their country. In fact, I have many friends who hail from there. What I am sick and tired of is institutional incompetence that is defended by those who are more interested in keeping their jobs than actually doing their jobs properly.

An Upcoming Conservative Landslide?

This morning on CKNW (36:05), Bill Good ran an informal poll about who people would vote for if there were a federal election soon. Though not scientific, the results were quite surprising, especially because most of the callers were from Metro Vancouver. Give it a listen and let me know what you think.

In the days following today's throne speech in Ottawa, it'll be hilarious to watch Canada's premiere weak cheese, Stephane Dion, twisting and squirming to avoid an election. Let's see how far he's willing to sell out his principles in order to stay head of the Liberal party. For he and everyone else knows that if his party doesn't make a very impressive showing in the next election that he will be tossed out as quick as yesterday's news.

The Parents of B.C. - God Help Us!!!

In this recent poll, less than half of British Columbia parents say it's important to instill respect for authority in children. That compares to seven out of 10 parents interviewed in other provinces.

I had not previously heard of this report but it does not surprise me. The biggest problem I see in society today is lack of respect, especially amongst our youth. Parents can spin any excuse that helps them sleep at night but the fact is that so many of them have chosen to forego any discipline whatsoever because it is easier.

Show me a 7 year-old brat, wait 10 years, and I'll show you a 17 year-old monster.
