A Little Sanity Coming Out of America

Full story here. Perhaps now he will F-I-R-E the Thought Police on the Miss California USA executive board who piled on the Perez Hilton hate bandwagon! For it makes no difference what your views or my views or anyone's views on gay marriage are. Carrie Prejean clearly did NOT espouse anything hateful. She simply expressed her honest opinion and went out of her way to placate those who disagreed with her. Yet that wasn't good enough for gay marriage supporters. They felt it perfectly appropriate to attempt to destroy this young woman's life.

The Left in America really should do a careful self-examination of the incessant hate-mongering that now seems to occupy most every waking moment of their lives. But frankly, I think they're incapable of it.

The Obama Administration and Homeland Security

Michelle Malkin reports on a very disturbing new report issued by the U.S. Homeland Security Department. Is it any wonder why there has been a reported rise in gun ownership? Indeed, it might seem preposterous right now that the Obama Administration would target specific Americans it has a political disagreement with. Let's see, a few years from now, if it seems as crazy!

Liberal Fascism Update

I heard two seemingly unrelated stories today but both share one thing very much in common: A growing number of people who adamantly describe themselves as "progressive" and "open-minded" have clearly become the close-minded bigots of the New Millennium. Presented below are two prime examples.

The University of Calgary has unilaterally removed the Free Speech rights of one group on its campus. Pedophiles? Serial killers? Neo-nazis? No, they're all allowed to say whatever they wish. Who has been banned is a Pro-Life group that wants to present their views about abortion. Ezra Levant has much more to say about this disturbing story.

This morning I received a call from a Canadian friend of mine who works at a large American company. He related to me the not so pleasant internal forum discussion about California's Proposition 8, which puts a ban on Gay Marriage.

A self-identified gay fellow was lamenting about how homosexuals are the "New Blacks" and completely oppressed in every way. He added that anyone who doesn't support Gay Marriage is a bigot.

My friend, who doesn't really care one way or the other about Gay Marriage, pointed out a few things to this fellow:

1. Labeling anyone who disagrees with you as a bigot isn't very conducive to having a useful discussion.
   
   
2. This would make Barack Obama a bigot.
