A Lego Masterpiece

I was invited over to dinner at the home of some friends this evening. After dinner their 5 year-old son and I built this incredible beauty! Lego is THE BEST toy ever ... and perhaps one of the reasons I became an engineer!

40 Hours in Seattle

Prior to Danny flying out of SeaTac, we spent a little more time in Seattle. Here are some photos from that visit.

For lunch the first day we went to Applebee's in Renton. There's one in Aguascalientes and is one of Danny's favourite restaurants.
They have an appetizer platter on which you can choose 3 items. Each was excellent but their artichoke, spinach, and cheese dip was outstanding.
We came across this, a LEGO Store, in Bellevue Square. The best feature is that you can buy buckets of individual bricks. As an engineer and a young aficionado of these magical bricks, I absolutely loved this place!
I was in the mood for hot dogs and found Matt's Gourmet Hot Dogs. They had a wide variety of different hot dogs and were delicious!
They also had some hilarious signs. Be sure to enlarge this one:

Danny needed some souvenirs to bring back to Mexico so we headed to Ye Olde Curiosity Shop down on Seattle's waterfront, where I captured this photo.
Our final meal was at a great Mexican restaurant near the home of our friend, Mike. A perfect way to end the 2-month visit of our Mexican amigo, Danny.

Hangin' Out with a 10 Year Old

A friend of mine was in town, along with her mom and her 10 year-old son. I had the opportunity to hang out with her young one, someone I've known since he was just two. So what to do? We strolled down to Granville Island, toured around a little, bought some lego, assembled it, and ate cookies. A perfect morning!
