A Vancouver Landmark No More

I had the opportunity to stroll by one of my favourite burger joints today:
Wally's Burgers opened in 1962 and has been serving delicious burgers (IMHO) ever since. My favourite was the Deluxe Chuckwagon. In my early teens, my Dad and I used to go about once a month. They were very filling, especially for my little stomach ... at the time.


Sadly, Wally's was closed last month to make room for a condo complex. :-(

Culinary Treats

A friend of mine was in town from Sudbury, Ontario for the day. We met up and went out for a coffee and then some sushi. The first photo is from Caffe Artigiano at 1101 West Pender and the last two are from Aki, downstairs at 745 Thurlow.
