A Cruise Ship to . . . Nowhere!
Last month my mom asked if I wanted to attend a luncheon and musical presentation being presented by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. I was keen and what was even more interesting was that it was happening on a cruise ship!
We got down to Canada Place by 10am, [temporarily] surrendered our drivers licenses, and then lined up to get on board.
Starting just after 11am, VSO conductor, Bramwell Tovey, provided a 50 minute musical performance, interspersed with some fascinating historical insights into Beethoven. He also did a little up-selling on the upcoming symphony season but did so in a very delightful manner.
We then had a delicious lunch, before being allowed to explore the ship. Taking photos on it provided a very different perspective of downtown that I'm not used to.
You can view the entire collection of photos here.

Gastown's Waterfront
An aunt of mine was visiting from Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Though it was pouring rain much of the day, I gave her a driving tour of the city. The first two shots are of Crab Park, which is a place I've never explored before. It's actually a very beautiful park with an incredible view of downtown. You can read more about it here.
Here are some shots of a huge Norwegian Cruise Lines ship. You can read more about it here.

Miami Harbour
On the weekends the cruise ships are docked, restocking themselves for a new allotment of passengers for the coming week. They always brighten up the harbour tremendously!
